I’m Mahrukh, an interior designer based in Surrey, working with clients across the UK and internationally.
I create refined, beautifully considered interiors for clients who want their homes to feel elevated but never impractical. Every project I take on is personal. I work with a carefully selected team of suppliers and craftspeople to deliver spaces that are as thoughtful in their detail as they are striking to walk into.
Whether it’s a complete design package or styling a single room, my approach is always the same: listen carefully, design intentionally, and create something that feels unmistakably yours.
Before launching my own practice, I spent over a decade in the professional services sector, working in real estate and hospitality in the City of London. I loved the pace and the people, but I always had a pull towards design, the way a well-considered space can change how you feel the moment you walk in.
Eventually, I followed that instinct. I retrained at the Chelsea College of Arts and I haven’t looked back. My business background means I bring structure and clarity to every project, while my design training gives me the creative eye to make it beautiful.
Since then, I’ve worked on projects of every scale, from elegant London apartments to full home renovations across the UK. No two projects are the same, and that’s exactly what I love about this work.
As a mum with a young family, I know first-hand that a beautiful home also has to be a liveable one. I understand the reality of busy mornings, homework at the kitchen table, and needing spaces that can handle all of it while still looking and feeling like the home you’ve always wanted.
That balance between sophistication and practicality isn’t a compromise, it’s at the heart of everything I design.
